BMX & Skate Park up-date
There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to bring to fruition the many great resources that we enjoy as a community. I know people who worked very hard for a very long time to see the pool built. I am extremely grateful for their efforts. What a great resource.
Similarly, a lot of people work very hard to bring together an event such as ‘Choppers for Charity’. It is great to have all sorts of organisations, businesses and individuals supporting this kind of event in Sussex Inlet.
There are many people hard at work behind the scenes in all sorts of capacities trying to achieve a BMX & Skate Park for Sussex Inlet. They’ve achieved a lot so far and the project is progressing. To date we have received the support of Shoalhaven City Council and a commitment for funding in excess of $50,000. We have received pledges from local businesses and individuals in excess of $60,000 worth of cash, goods and services. To those people we are very grateful. We also have growing interest and support from a number of corporate sponsors. This all helps us move toward our goal.
And the finished project will be much more than just a skate park. It will include shelter, electric BBQ facilities, an exercise circuit and a viewing area – a place for the whole community, not just skaters, scooter riders and BMX’ers.
One way you can help is by attending our fund-raiser movie/meal deal (see details below).
